Inspired by the Fear-Free™ movement of Dr. Marty Becker, our new clinic was designed to make your pet’s visit as pleasant and stress-free as possible.
As you enter the clinic, you will see that dogs and cats have separate waiting areas and exam rooms. The dog and cat kennels are located at opposite corners of the clinic. Walls and ceilings have sound barriers to reduce noise-related stress. A state-of-the-art ventilation system ensures that the cat quarters will be free of dog odours. Treatment and surgery areas are also divided into cat and dog zones. Throughout the clinic, our design features direct lighting and calming colours to reduce visual stress.
If your pet has special anxiety issues, we may offer help with pre-visit anxiety medication. In case you arrive early and would prefer to take a walk in the park with your dog while waiting for an appointment, you can “check in” and we will call you on your cell phone when we’re ready for you.
In the exam room, we keep a variety of treats to keep your dog or cat happy and occupied during the veterinary exam. When your visit is complete and your pet is ready to leave, checkout can be done directly in the exam room.
